Apartment

I’ve been very, very lucky to find a new apartment for myself to start renting come February 1st in the Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia.

It is a studio in a brownstone with 14ft ceilings, a very good amount of floor space (about 500sqf) and a kind landlord. I will be doing a lot of renovations such as painting the outdated cabinets, tiling the back splash which is now a faux marble, vinyl adhesive, creating a built in dining table out of an old window, and building a loft bed. When I’m finished I hope to submit my work to one of my favorite websites, Apartment Therapy and it would be awesome to see them feature some work by a college kid since they rarely deal with that age group and it might be more inspiring for other college kids to update their own living environments to suit them better.

Many more posts and pictures will follow. I would post some of the photos I’ve taken already but the current tennant still has her stuff in the place and it looks messy.
